TU/e Hosts 2nd HERMES General Assembly Meeting
TU/e Hosts 2nd HERMES General Assembly Meeting

Eindhoven, Netherlands – July 10, 2025
The HERMES Project Consortium convened its second General Assembly meeting on July 10, 2025, at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), bringing together partners from across Europe to discuss progress and future directions of the Horizon Europe-funded project focused on advanced hydrogen membrane technologies.
Hosted by TU/e at the Helix Building, the hybrid-format meeting (with both in-person and online participation) provided a platform for work package leaders to present updates, share technical results, and coordinate the upcoming phases of the project. The event marked the 7th month of the HERMES project and reaffirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to enabling scalable, efficient, and sustainable hydrogen separation solutions.
The day began with a warm welcome from TU/e and H2SITE, followed by strategic discussions on project coordination and quality/data management led by H2SITE and INTRACT. Partners SNAM, TU/e, and TECNALIA highlighted progress on industrial requirements, process design, and membrane modelling under WP2.
A key highlight of the meeting was the technical deep dives into WP3 and WP4, where partners presented significant advancements in CMSM and Pd-based membrane development, scale-up, and characterisation – crucial for meeting HERMES’s industrial demonstration targets.
The afternoon sessions led by INTRACT and TECNALIA focused on communication, stakeholder engagement, market analysis, and exploitation strategies, aligning the project with both scientific impact and market relevance.
The General Assembly underscored the collaborative spirit and multidisciplinary strength of the HERMES consortium, featuring partners from research institutions, industrial stakeholders, and SMEs, all working together to accelerate Europe’s green hydrogen economy.
