FBK Hosts 3rd HERMES General Assembly Meeting

21.06.2026

The HERMES Project Consortium successfully held its third General Assembly meeting on 21 January 2026 at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) in Trento, Italy, bringing together consortium partners in a hybrid format to review progress, exchange technical insights, and align on the next phases of the project.

Marking the 13th month of the HERMES project, the meeting reaffirmed the consortium’s shared commitment to developing scalable, efficient, and sustainable hydrogen separation solutions based on advanced membrane technologies.

Hosted by FBK, the event provided a comprehensive platform for work package leaders to present technical updates, share recent results, and coordinate upcoming activities, covering project management, coordination, and hydrogen safety planning (WP1); membrane modelling, process design, basic engineering, and preliminary hazard analysis (WP2); development, scale-up, optimisation, and manufacturing of carbon molecular sieve and Pd-based membranes (WP3 and WP4); membrane characterisation and inputs for prototype engineering; as well as communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, market analysis, exploitation strategy, and intellectual property planning (WP5).

The agenda also featured cross-work package discussions, consortium decision-making, and alignment on upcoming milestones, deliverables, and timelines.

The participants took part in a guided tour of FBK’s research facilities, gaining direct insight into state-of-the-art infrastructures, followed by a consortium dinner that fostered networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange, further strengthening cooperation across the partnership and supporting the successful advancement of the HERMES project.
